Jillian has more than 11 years experience, She has been practicing as a physician assistant in multiple specialties since 2010. The most recent 7 years specializing in endocrinology (Diabetes type 1 and 2, thyroid diseases, insulin resistance, parathyroid diseases, PolyCystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), testosterone deficiency, etc) . She received her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts.
Jillian has a focus on patient-provider relationships and education which puts the patient in control of their ultimate outcome and plan of care. She is a certified diabetic educator as well as an insulin pump trainer. Jillian also enjoys working alongside Dr. Fermelia as a “Surgeon of Excellence” in the operating room.
Jillian is a member of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Society of Endocrine Physician Assistants, American Diabetes Association, Obesity Medicine Association and The American Obesity Association.
When not practicing medicine, she enjoys sports, camping and traveling with her husband and three children. Her husband’s experience in the Navy led her to move from her home state of Massachusetts to Nebraska.
